Terms of use

The “Regional group” websites of the BDÜ Landesverband Hessen e.V . (“BDÜ Hessen e.V.”, “the regional association”) serve to report on the work of the regional groups of the regional association and to draw attention to the activities of the family of BDÜ associations at regional and national association levels, as well as to industry-related news. At the same time, we would like to introduce customers of translation and interpreting services to our qualified members as the first and best contacts in their region.

The directory of BDÜ members presented here (the “regional group database”) is compiled and maintained by the BDÜ Hessen e.V. in accordance with the current membership directory of the regional association. The currentness and accuracy of the data presented here is checked at least once a year. BDÜ Hessen e.V. is exclusively entitled to any and all rights to the regional group database.

By using this regional group website, a contract of use is concluded between the BDÜ Hessen e.V. and the user, which is exclusively subject to the following conditions:

1. The directory allows to select qualified interpreters or translators for interpreting or translation assignments from among the members of the BDÜ Hessen e.V. with addresses, telephone numbers and additional information authorised for publication on the basis of information on language, specialist area, qualification and postal code.
2. The user recognises that each BDÜ member presented here acts on its own entrepreneurial responsibility, that the members of the BDÜ set their own prices and that neither the BDÜ Hessen e.V. nor the other members are liable for the interpreting or translation services and other services of a particular member. In the event of suspected professional misconduct, the user may nevertheless contact the office of the BDÜ Hessen e.V. to report a suspected violation of the BDÜ's Code of Professional Conduct and Code of Honour .
3. The user may only use the database for the purpose stated in section 1.
4. Any other use or utilisation of the data stored in the database is not permitted.
   In particular, the complete, partial or excerpted use of the BDÜ online membership database on the Internet for commercial address utilisation, as an aid for compiling or supplementing directories of participants, addresses or other directories, as well as the reading of the database on the Internet for the aforementioned purposes or for other commercial use is not permitted.
5. The BDÜ may demand an appropriate contractual penalty from the user for each individual case of utilisation of the data for commercial address utilisation, as an aid for compiling or supplementing directories of subscribers, addresses or other directories, as well as for reading out the BDÜ Online Membership Database on the Internet for the aforementioned purposes or for the purposes of other commercial use. The amount of the contractual penalty shall be determined by the BDÜ at its reasonable discretion and may be reviewed by the competent court in the event of a dispute. Claims for damages by the BDÜ due to unauthorised use of the database remain unaffected by this.
6. If the user violates the terms of use, they may no longer use the website and will, as far as technically possible, be excluded from using the website.
7. The BDÜ accepts no liability for the availability of the website and regional group database or for the accuracy and completeness of the information, but ensures that profile entries are checked at least once a year.
8. Use of the database for the aforementioned purpose is free of charge.

The BDÜ members listed on the website are also subject to the BDÜ Hessen e.V. Professional and Honour Code (BEO; “Berufs- und Ehrenordnung”), the Arbitration Rules (SchGO; “Schiedsgerichtsordnung”) and the Regional Group Website Regulation (RGWO; Regionalgruppenwebsite-Ordnung).
