About me
For more than 30 years, I have worked almost exclusively on the translation of legal texts. I acquired this specialization during nine years as inhouse translator of a major German law firm in Frankfurt am Main serving international business clients (including half a year in their New York office).
Since the mid-nineties, I have been working freelance, mainly for law firms and companies, but also for private individuals with legal translation needs.
I translate a great variety of legal texts (contracts, notarial deeds, pleadings in court and arbitration proceedings, judgments issued in Germany and abroad, legal opinions, probate matters, etc.), as well as personal documents (including birth certificates, marriage certificates, certificates of good conduct).
From 2015 to 2021, I served as vice-chair on the board of the Hessian chapter of the Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ e.V.), where I was responsible for the department of interpreting and translating for the judiciary and public authorities.
